Making The Perfect Coffee

You’re Guide To Making the Perfect Coffee

Going out for coffee can get expensive. Still, the temptation of your favorite coffee places can be hard to resist. If you learn how to make the perfect cup of coffee at home, you'll never be tempted to go out to a coffee place again.
Fresh beans are part of the reason coffee shop coffee tastes so great. Be careful where you buy your coffee from.

You'll also want to grind those beans yourself if possible. A simple electric blade grinder isn't very expensive, and will go a long way towards making your coffee taste better. The finer the grinds, the fuller the flavor.

When brewing your coffee, make sure to always use good water. Use filtered water or bottled spring coffee instead.

While you may not give much thought to the filters you buy, cheap paper filters really do lead to inferior coffee. If you're willing to spend a little more, pick up a gold-plated filter.

Make sure your coffee maker doesn't get too hot! Better coffee makers regulate water heat, but some cheaper models don't. If yours doesn't, it's time for an upgrade.

Clean your coffeemaker regularly. Once a month, run a vinegar solution or a coffee cleaner through it to help dissolve mineral deposits. Afterwards, rinse it thoroughly. Your grinder and your storage containers should also be cleaned on a regular basis.
